Document Management module

Is there a module for managing files for users to view or download? If not, is there a tool that would be recommended that would integrate well with Kentico?
My company is currently coverting their site to Kentico, but we have several documents/files that we need to handle. It would be nice to have a simple manager that would allow administrators to add/remove/update documents, track versions and have a web interface to display and organize them for external users to access.

Hello,

You could use the Media library module. Please see here: http://devnet.kentico.com/docs/devguide/media_libraries_overview.htm for more details.

The advantage is that you may upload the files via FTP, the disadvantage that you may not use workflow and versioning on this module.

The second possibility is to store the files in the content tree as CMS.File. More information is here: http://devnet.kentico.com/docs/devguide/file_management_overview.htm

You may import huge amount of CMS.File documents by File import tool. Please see here: http://devnet.kentico.com/docs/devguide/file_import.htm for more details. The CMS.File documents have the advantage of workflow and versioning.
