How do I add alt tags to an image
When I upload an image, for example via the "Select" image tool

User image

, I don't see anywhere that I can add alt tags to the image in any of the dialogue boxes that show up. How can I add alt tags to my images in Kentico?

Hello,

Via this WebPart you are able just to add the general property - Alternative text if you swtich to Design tab and click on the Web Part (Editable image) properties and then find it under Content section.

That works to a degree. However, when I try to change the alternative text of a sub-page within another page, it changes the alt tags for all other sub-pages within that page. For example see this screenshot.

If I change the alternative text on the featured image on the Checking page, it will repeat that text in Savings, Rates, etc... And if I try to change any of those pages, it will carry through all the others.

Hi,

that is because the alt property defined in the web part is stored in the template definition which is probably shared among documents you described.

You can clone templates as ad-hoc (Properties - Templates)

Or you can upload the image in Properties - Attachments tab and display image as described in the attachments section.
