Hi,

Is there any thoughts on creating a product comparison feature in Kentico CMS?

(I.e., an initial webpart containing a checklist for each data-item and a compare button, and a second webpart picking up the checked items and displaying these with additional details).

Hello,

Regrettably, this feature is not natively supported in current version 4.1. There is document comparison control that you could optionally use to compare data of product documents (but not data of SKU objects). You may check if it would be usable for you and optionally create web part based on this control. You can see example in ~\CMSTemplates\CorporateSiteAspx\ControlsExamples\CMSDocumentComparison.aspx(.cs) template.
