Should be able to share web parts configuration across many pages
I posted that somewhere else. Just to be sure that it gets on your list.

I am building a site where I am ending up having 20 template pages or so. This is, because on each page there are minor changes, such as, only this web part and not this one, etc.

Even if the templates prove to be very flexible with feature such as hide on subpages or do only show on these types of documents.

Now it would be very nice to be able to share a web part configuration across many templates. Let's say I configure one news repeater, save this configuration and place it on many templates.

After the site is done and I want to chnage let's say the sort order (stupid example - but whatever) I do only chnage the configuration once and it applies to to all templates.

RE:Should be able to share web parts configuration across many pages
Hi again,

I understand you need but the that is the concept of page templates. It is like you have two word documents that are almost the same, but you need to modify them separately.
It sounds quite easy what you have suggested but this requires to rebuild and re-design the page templates behavior and it could be then very confusing for other users.
