user permission to edit document type

I have Document type Restaurants in my CMS Desk. Now i need to create a user for particular restaurant and to give them access to the cms desk to edit their restaurant details. How can i do this?

Please review the Documentation under "User Contributions". We have implemented this and assigned users as page owners in the security. This way I do not need to give anyone access to the CMS Desk, they can just go to their page and do in place editing as well as answer reviews, add discounts and coupons, etc. Works out great.
