TreeNode.CultureVersions only works in CMS Desk?

I'm trying to use the API call 'TreeNode.CultureVersions' in Kentico 7.82. This only seems to return records when you are logged into the CMS Desk - is there a reason this call would not be available on the live site?

Turns out it's a security change in K7.
