Smart Search Box not redirecting on click

I have created a page which includes a Smart Search Box or Dialog and Smart Search Results and everything appeared to be working correctly

Recently when clicking the submit button for the Smart Search Box / Dialog, nothing is happening.

Directly typing ?searchtext=mira&searchmode=anyword in the URL populates the Smart Search Results as expected.

I'd be grateful for any explanations as to why this might be happening.

Make sure you're not using update panel.

I'd try just adding another search box to the page and see if it works.

Appreciate your response.

I've tried adding multiple search boxes / dialogs and still nothing is happening. I'm not aware of any updates panels being added or logic implemented.

Strange thing is that the page was working in the past and no work has been carried out on it recently so I'm confused as to what has changed.

Found the issue. There was another User Control with validation that was preventing any form from submitted. Adding a validation group to the offending User Control resolved the issue.
