Set content review reminder

This doesn't appear to be out of the box functionality, but is there any way to allow Editors to set a review date/time on a content item that will trigger some kind of notification or email reminder when that time or date is reached?

are you using workflows? take a look at Configuring workflow email notifications

Thanks Peter, unless I've missed something I don't think this will configure the functionality I need. This will send email notifications to approvers/editors as the content moves through the workflow steps will it not? Please correct me if i'm wrong!

I need Editors to be able to set a review time/date on a piece of content so they can be alerted to check and update it when that date is reached.

We are in the same boat Dan. Seems like the sort of functionality that should be covered out of the box.

Our developers have pointed me to this as an option, but again it's not quite what we need: Creating an outdated content notification task
