Send all email notifications from a single e-mail address

I have noticed that order confirmation emails go out to the TO address from the customer's email address (or possibly the site admin?). Many mail servers only allow addresses from a current domain or from a set of "sender signatures" as the from address, and therefore the customer's email address will likely never work as the from address.

How can we force Kentico to always use a specific email address for all email communications (unless otherwise specified)?

Hi Keith,

You can set the "sender" address in a couple of different spots, depending on your needs.

  1. Ecommerce / Store Configuration / Emails / Send e-commerce emails from This setting will set it for the Store level. This would cause e-commerce to be "From" the entered address.

  2. Ecommerce / Multistore Configuration / Store Settings / Emails / Send e-commerce emails from This setting will set the address for all sites ( in the event you are hosting multiple sites in the same installation).

  3. Settings / E-commerce / Send e-commerce emails from This setting will set the address on a global level, giving each site a value to inherit from.

Depending on how you need to configure you site, you should be able to leverage one of those settings.
