Running multiple domains on a single site

Kenny Deblaere asked on August 16, 2016 11:47

Hello

The current state in my Kentico-project is the following:

  • A tree with a Data-property containing Offices
  • One site, containing, trips, countries...

Each office should have it's own site <officename>.domain.com, having the same layout as the main-site, but with different trips, or pages.

These are the things I've done:

  1. I've looked on the Kentico-documentation for Running multiple sites on a single domain, but it's more or less the opposite, running multiple domains on a single site.
  2. I've been looking to redirect the /Data/Offices/<Officename> to <officename>.domain.com, but it does return HttpError 400 - Bad request.
  3. I've tried to create a new website, importing the master page of the domain, but I couldn't reach <officename>.domain.com (HttpError 400 - Bad request).

I hope this explains my problem.

Kind regards

Kenny Deblaere

You can have separate sites within one Kentico instance sharing same content, however it involves separate license for each subdomain. The content has to be same when you want to take advantage of domain aliases.

Thank you for your response.

I'll check the current license.
