Problems Inserting images into a document

I cannot insert images or select images from the image library when editing a document but when i go directly to the image library, the images can be selected!, please help, am i doing something wrong?

Hello,

I'm afraid we would need more details in order to suggest a fix. Would you be able to clarify how you are editing the document, which Web parts/field settings you are using on the document? Providing screenshots may help us understand what could be causing this. In the meantime, the documentation may help out.

Thanks i am using the wysiwyg editor on an editable text area and trying to insert an image into the text area. 1. if i try an upload a new image, it only inserts a link 2. if i try to select from the media library, the images are not selectable

Hello,

Thank you for the additional details.

1) If you upload the file it is added under Properties > Attachment for that document and a link points to that location.

2) I am not sure what you mean by images are not selectable, but it should be possible to switch to the Media Library tab in the dialog and select an image as you would in the Media Library module. If you could provide more details about this issue we may be able to suggest a fix. Providing your exact version number would also allow us to test more accurately.
