New widget missing from 'Add new widget' modal

Hello,

I have an issue with one of my widgets, where it is not selectable (doesn't show up at all) from the add widget modal for some reason. The web part zone i'm trying to add my widget to has a widget zone type of 'Customisation by page editor'.

The widget is based on a 'standard' type web part. The web part its based on works as expected if added directly to the the web part zone in the design tab (if I change the web part zone widget type back to none).

When new widgets are created do you need to follow some kind of procedure to allow them to be used/be selectable?

Hi,

Did you set up correct security for that specific widget? Check in 'widgets' application, on that specific widget to mark these 'This widget can be used in editor zones' or 'This widget can be used as inline widget' on security tab.

It is probably related with some security setting for your site.
