New contact is not upon form submission and contact mapping

Kashif Akram asked on September 16, 2021 08:25

Hello Everyone,

I have a form and contact mappings, new contact is being generated when someone submits the form. Then I created new form with same contact mappings but new contact is not generated.

Please guide if I am missing something, I've double checked several times and code as well both forms are exactly same.

Thanks and Regards, Kashif

Ok, the last thing that pops to my mind: are you testing every time in incognito with all your cookies cleared?

Typically, if you've completed 2 forms being in one browser session keeping CurrentContact cookie, it creates only one contact. You can configure the form mapping to override the data within the contact, but anyway, there will only be one contact.

Hi Kashif,

Is it a form built with Form Builder and displayed via Kentico's Form widget, or is it displayed with your custom widget?

Could you also check your cookie level? You can do so in Settings > System > Default cookie level. Is it set to "All" or "Visitor"?
