merging contacts from domain aliases

Hello

I'm tracking the activities of my visitors on my mainsite domain.com, and on alias.domain.com.

The problem is, when a user visits alias.domain.com and after that, the user visits domain.com, there are two contacts created.

Is there a way to merge these two into the contact from alias.domain.com, or domain.com?

You could merge contacts manually or even automatically based on some properties of the contact. The problem here might be that if the contacts are anonymous you will not have any "solid" foundation upon which to merge contacts until the visitors provides you with these information.

I've figured when I merge them manually, the problem is solved. But is it possible to create an automatic merge?
