Kentico Windows AD authentication

I am following the steps provided in the documentation here:

Does the Kentico site have to be on the same server as the AD instance? If not, then how does the Kentico site communicate with the AD server to authenticate the user for automatic login into the CMS?

Hi Refell,

Kentico does not have to be on the same server as the AD instance, it just needs to be on a server that is part of the AD domain. Windows services will handle the rest.
