I see lots of options for filtering the smart search results by date, but I am wondering how do make older articles less relevant so the newer ones show up. Say articles older then a year are not as important.
Have a look at this article, I think you could use negative boosting of articles when they are older than x.

Can you give me an example of what to put in the Search Condition field in the SmartSearch Resutls webpart to do this. I have gone through several tries and nothing is working
