Kentico and SAP integration

Vim Mahadevan asked on October 29, 2015 18:10

Just curious if there are any opinions on what is the best approach for integrating Kentico 8.2 with SAP for two way reading/writing. Is it to use the Kentico API, an SAP API or something like the Kentico integration bus? I've been asked about the feasibility of building a Kentico e-commerce website that will hook into their SAP backend. Reads could be scheduled a few times a day but writes and order processing would be real-time. Also would common functions such as registration, order entry or master data transfer exist or have to be written from scratch?

Thanks,

Vim

I would just use SAP Rest API.

Good morning ,

Finally, did you implement Kentico E commerce with SAP ?

Hi Alexandre, the project is still going on but we are using APIs, and old fashioned text files, to communicate. The site is more SAP Hybris than pure SAP. Hybris is their ecommerce management system acquisition from a couple of years back.
