Kentico 12 MVC to Core or how to reference Core projects in Kentico 12 MVC

Hi there,

so I have fairly generic question. Let's say I would like to build the Kentico MVC project, CMS, Site and Business class library, in .Net Core instead of standard. What would be the best approach. Alternatively, can I reference .Net Core project (API) in standard Kentico MVC?
