Kentico 12 Local IIS Installation

Point 10 of the installation document https://docs.kentico.com/k12/installation/installing-kentico-mvc-projects says that the installer will register new project in local IIS (if exists).

But in my case, though I have local IIS, it always registers with IISExpress. Always.

How do I make sure that the installer register the projects in IIS than IISExpress?

Can you verify you have all the .NET features installed. Check all features under IIS (not just the stand alone ones) in the Windows installer.

May I know which component does it exactly look for to decide that it has all the components to go on registering in local IIS?
