A windows update wouldn't effect his unless the update modified a browser's default styling, which I doubt this was effected.
Figure out which stylesheet is for the table styling and then look at the versions and see when it was last updated. It could have been updated a while ago and you just now noticed because of the browser caching the css. If that is the case you might want to look into cause that cache to be invalidated when the CSS changes.
