How to set a default page

Jeff Klunder asked on May 8, 2017 11:49

Hi all,

Is it possible to set a page as the default starting page, for instance the homepage or contact page? I did find something about the site alias, but selecting the homepage here doesn't seem to have any effect. When browsing to my local development environment, there is a blank page displayed. If I enter /homepage.aspx, the homepage is displayed.

What I'm trying to achieve is when browsing to localhost/projectname/ the homepage is displayed.

Are you setting the "Default alias path" under "Web site content" section (Settings > Content)?

Many pages have been missed by me when they showed that server not found and I got myself angry then go ahead for the next. Now this problem is no more because I have opener of the pages in the internet which link is for all take the challenge with those pages who irritate me to opening.
