mun yung kan asked on January 6, 2016 10:18

hey guys,

i'm trying to configure kentico to generate my paths to start from the domain name, instead of including the home item.

e.g. www.domain.com/about-us instead of www.domain.com/home/about-us

been googling for hours and i havent been able to find a solution

Hi,

Under Settings > URLs and SEO > SEO – URLs you can find the setting Default page. With the option “Use domain root“.

This will use your domain root when going to your websites basic domain.

However if you locate your other pages below the home-page node. It will include this by default in the node alias path.

You can manually change the path for this one page. But I guess its easier to not place your about-us page beneath the home node, but as a sibling.

Greets,

David

Hi,

  • You can move the pages quite easy.
  • By default all the urls (including subs) are updated.
  • Also by default the old urls will be remembered as alias

You can also change this behaviors in the settings.

Greets,

David
