Dropdown list on the Form

Hi,

I try to use this format for the dropdown list (List of options) on the form with macros to indicate visibility. But after I add the macro piece, the selection you choose on the form cannot be actually selected, when I do the submit it ask you to select again.

Syntax is: Food; Food; {% programtype == "" %} Plant; plant; {% programtype == "" %}

Not sure why it's not working. We are using Kentico 11 portal Engine.
