Development access needed on new role

Almost all applications in Development area are marked as 'global application'. This means that only users with Administrator privilege level (or higher) can access them. You can unseal class modules and set checkbox value to unchecked, but that is not recommended by Kentico. More about privlage can be found on this link in documentation.

I've since set the user to Administrator rights, and can still only see CSS stylesheets and Email templates under Development. I've also assigned every default user role to the user, still doesn't give me the full spectrum of the Development application.

Once I set it to Global admin, can I then see everything.

That is because application under development area has 'Requires Global administrator privilege level' checked as well. I think you should consider again your reasons to give someone else, who is not Global administrator, access to the development area.

Scenario:

Junior Developer access: Update CSS, Javascript Should not be able to access sites application or be able to create users/roles Only has access to specific sites

Senior Developer access: Has access to all sites Cannot create users/roles

Dev Team lead access: Everything + Create users/roles

With the above scenario, I cannot do that with the current setup
