Default value of field doesn't appear!

Hi community

I fill the default value of field where the form control is Media selection, i want when the value is not selected replace the value by the default value.. is not working for me!

default value works when you create a new document. when change something in existing - it does not. when you click clear it doesn't set back to default. If you want to change the behavior you need to clone and customize media selection control.
