Change Installed Custom modules

Hello,

is it possible to change installed custom modules.

Currently im getting the message "cannot be modified in installed modules".

Hello Anton,

thank you for the answer. Currently we are working with Kentico 8.1.17. So in Kentico 8 custom Modules are defautl in development mode as long as they are not exported right?

After an Kentico export they are automatically sealed?

Hi Stefan,

If a custom module was exported with ticked 'Seal the selected module' checkbox, it won't be possible. Creating export packages for modules

If you install module from nuget package, it won't possible too. Creating installation packages for modules:

  • You cannot use installation packages to transfer modules for development on other instances – the module always becomes sealed and uncustomizable after installation, and all code is compiled into a DLL.
