CategoryMenu show only children

I'm trying to display categories that are children of a specific category in a CategoryMenu but I can only see how to do this and show the parent category. I'm setting the StartingCategory to the Parent category, wildcards do not seem to be supported

Is there an obvious setting or style that I'm missing?

My Categories are like +Parent * Child 1 * Child 2 * ... * Child 100

I want the treeview to only show * Child 1 * Child 2 * ... * Child 100

The webpart is CategoryMenu... If you put a path it shows the path and children. I want to only show the children

Have never used this webpart. I think its is very restrictive by looking at the options that it does provide.. You can have more control if you are willing to use a repeater or a Hierarchical Viewer webpart.
