my project is of website type. I can't upgrade using installer, I thought to do manual way but in doc it says "Copy all files that were added into your Kentico 12 project (including media files, custom pages and controls, etc.)". What about page type and its data.
Is your origin project build on Kentico Portal Engine or MVC? If it's on PE you can't upgrade to K13 as Portal Engine is no longer a supported development model!
@David te Kloese. It was build using portal engine. So why the database upgrade won't work? I ran the upgrade.sql in my database. There were many errors.
I was able to maintain page type and content by upgrading the db using db user login not by windows auth.
