Campaign tracking is not working correctly

  • We have created a new Campaign with all its properties – Display name and UTM campaign.
  • We have selected an existing page for tracking the campaign.
  • We used the Kentico link generator to create UTM parameter to landing on conversion page.
  • Then, we launched the campaign.

We made sure that all analytics tracking is enabled.

We used the private browsing in Chrome/Firefox to enter the URL with parameter. From some reason we have not the visitors and conversions reported in campaign report.

Only when we used a homepage as a conversion and the hyperlinks contained a homepage URL and a campaign parameter, the visitors showed up in the campaign report. In other cases we have no visitors or conversion visible in the campaign report. We tried to send visitors to a different page where no conversion was set or when the conversion page was a category page, but in neither case no visitors were reported in thecampaign report. Nevertheless, we noticed that a cookie with the campaign name was stored in the browser in all cases.

If something doesnt make sense, please let me know and I will try to explain better.

Any idea what we are missed here?

Hi,

You've seem to taken all the correct steps. Did you try just a clear cache from the "System Application" to see if that solves it?
