Im on v8.2.46 , I have a number of custom tables with datetime fields, using the Calendar form control. If the field using the calendar form control is a required field I dont have any issues. But if the field is not required, when I open the DateTime picker in the custom table form a button with the text N/A appears .
The NA button is used if there is no date for that field. The Text can be changed by modifying the default resource strings. More info here.
