A potentially dangerous Request.Path value was detected from the client (&) on https

hi,

im facing an issue only with https, we have some pdf files in the media library under a folder like 'aaa & bbb' so the

Direct path: https://testsite.com/testsite/media/aaa%20%26%20bbb/abcd.pdf this url get error 'A potentially dangerous Request.Path value was detected from the client (&) ' for the '&' character but if i brows this link without https (http://testsite.com/testsite/media/aaa%20%26%20bbb/abcd.pdf) then link work & able to download the file.

how can i turn on the https with '&' character ?

Hi,

Here is some very interesting blog post about your problem to understand it better. What you can do in Kentico:

  1. Is to create custom event handler which will replace '&' sign with other sign that is allowed ('_', '-').
  2. Try to use permanent urls for media files
