A different origin subframe tried to create a JavaScript dialog

Bogdan Buczek asked on July 26, 2021 17:22

Is anyone experiencing this problem with CMS? We have CMS running on a different domain that the live site. the javascript that we call from CMS is at the live site domain and is being blocked currently. As a result of this new "feature" we cannot delete new sections or widgets that require js popup (alert/confirm) Any solution from Kentico?

ORIGINAL ERROR: A different origin subframe tried to create a JavaScript dialog. This is no longer allowed and was blocked. See https://www.chromestatus.com/feature/5148698084376576 for more details. And cmsadministration.aspx shows only: No resource with given URL found

Hi all,

There are now hotfixes available for both Kentico 12 and Xperience 13, which can be downloaded from DevNet: https://devnet.kentico.com/download/hotfixes

We are aware of this issue and working on a fix with high priority. I will link the hotfix here once it's available.

In the meantime, there are 2 workarounds - using another browser, or running Chrome with the following command line parameter: --disable-features="SuppressDifferentOriginSubframeJSDialogs"
