8.2 to 9.0 upgrade error

Hi,

I can't upgade from 8.2 to 9.0

I receive error, please see picture below

what is "a vital Kentico component"? where i can read about it?

Hello,

it's because the upgrade must be applied to complete projects that use the standard folder structure (the solution file, GlobalAssemblyInfo.cs, the CMS and Lib sub-folders). You cannot directly upgrade web site deployments of the CMS folder – first upgrade the original complete project and then create a new deployment.

Hi Vasyl,

Please make sure the selected folder is your Kentico Installation folder which is "C:\inetpub\wwwroot\Kentico82" in your case with the folders as mentioned below in it
a) CMS
b) Lib
c) GlobalAssemblyInfo.cs
d) WebSite.sln
