.DesignMode and .EditMode classes no longer rendering in cmsdesk v7

Is there a way to turn these classes off and on? We are running Kentico V7 and at some point it seems like they have just disappeared from rendering within the CMSDesk and I can no longer use them.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

These classes will always appear so im not sure why they wouldnt be rendering for you in the CMSDesk. Are there any custom scripts that might be interfering? Are you trying to call the classes from js or css? Did you inspect the source for the body classes LTR EditMode Safari Chrome Safari52 Chrome52 ENUS ContentBody?

I'm talking about this line. It should be like on my code snipet
