Member	r3zon8 - 3/30/2012 11:33:02 AM Occasional 503 Service Unavailable Im unable to reproduce this problem consistently but occasionally the Kentico site will start responding with Service Unavailable - 503 errors. Recycling the KenticoCMS AppPool will bring the site back online. Not sure were to start on troubleshooting.

Hi,

When this issue occur, could you please check Site Manager -> Administration -> Event log and also the Windows Event viewer whether any exceptions and errors are logged?

What is the CPU and memory usage at the time of the error?
Is there a high traffic on the web site?
It would be good to try to find some pattern or something that might have happened just before the error - any details could help.

Hi,

I just remembered that this issue was already discussed on our forums in the past in this thread and also one of our customers summarized it on his blog. It is mostly about using the API but also shared hosting and machine key settings are described and explained.

Also, please make sure you are using the latest hotfix.
