Multiple image upload for users

Hello,
i have a document type called 'products' which has fields like name, price, category and 10 fields named image1, image2, image3 etc for image uploads (to be used in gallery).
but this approach ties the user to a limit of 10 images plus it makes the job more boring (as user has to click 10 different fields to upload images).
so i was wondering if its possible to create a field which can support multiple image upload?
any thoughts or suggestions would be very helpful

The good news is that there will be a new multiple file uploader with the progress bar in the next version of Kentico CMS 6.0. Best regards, Michal Legen

Hello,

I've checked our internal ticket database and I wasn't able to find any tickets regarding an issue implementing a multiple file upload form control. I myself also don't think this should have any drawbacks. The only problem with this I think is how to save the files. I would recommend you to save them into the media libraries and save just links to them into the database. For more information on how to create custom form controls please check our documentation. I would wait a few more weeks, if it's even possible according to your schedule, for the 6.0 version so maybe you will save yourself some implementation troubles if the new features will cover your needs.
