Adding a new folder error
Hi,


I've upgraded a site from 6 to 7. When I attempt to add a new folder to the treeview/content structure it shows the new product form instead of the new folder form which has just a text box for name.
I guess I did something wrong during upgrading.

My question is does anyone know what might have happened and how to fix this problem?

I've just performed the upgrade from 6 to 7 again and again the when trying to add a new item such as a folder you get the add a new product form instead.

Does anyone know what the problem might be?

I have performed 6 -> 7 upgrades several times without error, even with some moderate customizations. What kind of customizations have you performed on your v6 installation?

If you're not getting the responses you need here, I suggest emailing support AT kentico.com. Your purchased license will provide you with free support, otherwise you'll need to patiently wait for someone with the same issue to come about or Kentico folks to respond.

Thanks for your reply.

I've just found what was causing it. In table 'CMS_Class' there is a column called 'ClassIsProduct' and the 'Folder' row had this set as true. I changed it to false and all is OK. I guess the previous developer(s) of this site instance changed it.
