Getting Google to recognize HashBangs
My company built a dynamic site for our client where we are using hashbangs to bring up content that is in the CMS, instead of going straight to their relative URI. The struture is set up like so:

http://www.sitename.com/#!/URI

We got the site running fine, but SEO is coming more into question as we are having a hard time getting the content to index through Google. We have our sitemap set up with the hash bangs, and we set up scenarios for ?_escaped_fragment_, and set up a meta tag with canonical, just in case. We believe that we just need to wait for Google to crawl the site once more, but we are unsure when that will happen.

If anyone has some different ideas or suggestions, it would be most helpful.

RE:Getting Google to recognize HashBangs
Hi Beau,

Hash-bang URLs should not have any significant negative effect on SEO, it actually depends on content of the site, meta tags, Page Rank and other SEO optimization techniques.

There is no telling when exactly top search engines crawl your site again but as I mentioned, hash-bangs should not affect this or any other aspect of SEO.

Best regards,
