Member	michael.mccready-norquest - 11/27/2012 4:53:38 PM Editing Linked Documents When you edit a linked document (not the original) the linked document URL changes and a a -(1) gets added to the URL. Is there anyway to disable this URL changing or prevent linked documents from being edited?

That property was unchecked, but I checked it and then tried editing a document that was linked and it again added the -(1) to the url.

The linked document is in a different place in the document tree.

When a user visits a page that is a linked document, the URL remains in the current structure so it looks like the page is in the same location.

Hello,

I have tested it with our developer and we are not able to reproduce it. Could you please export us a list of settings you have set for your site from the Site Manager -> Settings -> URLs and SEO section as well as the exact version of Kentico CMS (with a hotfix number) and please describe step by step how you add a new linked document from which section to which section (you can describe your content structure).

I'm including the export of our URLs and SEO settings as well as a Word with screenshots and steps I took to create the error described above.

We are currently running Kentico CMS 7.0.4640.
