Thank you for your suggestions. Please find my comments below:

- Send this page to a friend - this can be currently done with custom code for the currently displayed document; we will consider support for sending the whole page in future versions

- Product reviews - you can use the Forums module for this - the Forums support a concept of "ad-hoc" forums that are created for specific product when the first post is added. There's, however no rating support at this moment.

As to the last question: this is supported out-of-the-box and it only depends on how you design the logon page - if you place the logon form and registration form there, you will get this functionality. At the same time, you need to configure the My account page to be a secured section.

You could do something similar using Query Repeater web part and selecting the items from the history, but it may be slow wtih large amounts of orders, so we are looking for some more sophisticated solution.

Will I be able to place the web part on the same page and/or on a separate page? I am asking, because I need one of these web parts and would wait with the development if 3.1 ships until the first week of April..... Thanks

For the second question:

I see two scenarios:

1. The send to a friend form is on every page in a hidden <div>. The user clicks on the button, the form opens up, fills in the info and gets a message.

2. The user clicks on the send to a friend button, which brings him to a new page with the form.

This scenario would be useful, if you have less space available. But this new page must know from which page the actual request came from.

Hi,

thanks for clarification. It will look like this: You have a text field where you can add the e-mail address. In the transformation you will specify the e-mail message.

The two scenarios you have described you can then try to achieve by adding only the button, which will redirect the user to the page with this web part and you will also pass particular URL information to the control as well, or you can also try to use AJAX and use the functionality from the default control.

I am trying to use the "Send to friend" webpart in the way most news outlets currently do. Click a link "Email Story" and it opens up the form with the url of the article included in the form. Fill out the form and send.

Hi,

You need to place the Send to friend web part on some page. You can set some of the default web part properties - Path, Show for document types, Document types, etc. you can find more information about the properties by clicking the Documentation link in the upper right corner of the dialog window.
Then you need to set the transformation property. You can create custom transformation (http://devnet.kentico.com/docs/devguide/writing_transformations.htm) and in this transformation you will resolve the link to that document.

In the Email tempalte field there are two macros by default:
{%Message%} - this will be resolved into the message which was added by the sender.
{%Document%} - this will be resolved with the transformation you have specified.

If you want to have the link and the form opened after the click, you will need to customize the behavior of the web part to be opened in a new window.

You can take a look how it is working now in the sample E-commerce site in the Products section.
