New Page Replacing Expired Page with Same URL

Hi!

I was wondering about something.

Say I have a page with the main URL as "http://mysite.com/MyPage" and it is set to expire after 12/31/2011 23:59:59.

I create a second page, set it to begin publishing on 1/1/2012 00:00:00, and give it the same main URL ("http://mysite.com/MyPage").

This seems to create an error in Kentico or at least it doesn't like me doing this. Is this scenario not possible?

If not, is there another solution? Basically, I want to replace an existing page with a new page automatically.

Hi,

Could you please describe the issue on more details? What error are you getting?

Right now, I would use workflows and versioning for this. You will have just one document (however, I do not know whether you want to use also different layout and design or only content). You will create version A, set it to be published until date X and move it to publish workflow step. Now, you will create version B, set it to be published from time X+1s and again move it to published workflow step.
