Hi, I've noticed when looking at the Intranet Portal (departments & workgroups) and Community (groups) example sites that you can automatically create a set of pages based on a collection of predesigned templates.

On my site I've managed to recreate a similar system using the Group Registration webpart to create sub-sections of pages automatically. This of course results in a group being created.

I was wondering if this is the only way in which this task can be achieved as I'd rather not have to create a group to create my auto-populated sections, and can this be done with any document type other than Page(menu item)?
