URL Alias not working
I'm putting together a test site and a big requirement is around the URL alias feature. I have a site installed and running ok, however none of the aliases I set will work. I also tried using the extensionless URL capability to no avail.

I followed the steps in the version 6 documentation and added the following to the web.config:

<httpErrors existingResponse="PassThrough" />
<modules runAllManagedModulesForAllRequests="true"></modules>

The second key did not already exist so it is empty. Can anyone help me get this working so I can show a functional test to people?

Hi,

Could you please explain in more details what you mean by it is not working? Are there any errors?
What are the aliases like, what is their setup?

Sorry I thought I mentioned the error. I'm getting a 404.0, so it seems like it is trying to redirect instead of rewrite.

I'm using the corporate starter site, and I'm trying to have a URL like, http://localhost/Products/Smartphones pull up http://localhost/Products/Smartphones.aspx.

Hi,

So, if I am getting this correctly you want to have the extension less URLs?
You mentioned it in your first post - but could you please confirm you have followed all the steps mentioned in the guide?
What version of IIS do you use?
What are the exact settings you have set?
