RE:Dual mode site question
Hello,

Are you using medium trust? if yes, could you please follow our guidelines for a medium trust environment? If not please try at least to go to Site Manager -> Administration -> System -> Deployment and click Save all virtual objects to disk. Afterwards please make sure such a file exists on your file system.

Best regards,

I'm getting the same problem when trying to add a page that will contain Press Releases. I have just added a page using one of the built in templates, and I get the above error.

The link supplied in your answer doesn't work.

Why should this be necessary?

I'm not sure I really want to dump all virtual objects from the database to the disk anyway. I thought the whole point of Kentico 6 was to keep as many objects on the database as possible...?

And how would I get them all back in again after I have dumped them out?

RE:Dual mode site question
Hello,

The documentation structure was changed and that's why the link isn't working anymore. Here is the correct link.

The virtual objects need to be saved to disk in an Medium trust environment, because the system doesn't have sufficient permissions to manipulate with those files.

RE:Dual mode site question
Just for the record of those searching for this later. This can also happen when the root template is blank and the page's template is AdHoc and is trying to get the parent template from somewhere.

Check where that template is supposed to derive from (e.g. Master only) and then see if that is missing.
