Search results link to search results page
Why is nothing simple!! I have search results displaying as expected, but the links just link to the current search results page. See pic attached for link shown when hovering link....

What transformation are you using and what does the code look like for it? Are you using the out of the box transformation or have you made your own or modified it?

I've duplicated the standard smart search box just incease i needed to change the code, but havent, its just a copy of the original.

The search webpart is given the URL of the results page and when searching the correct results are show on the results page but as per my OP the links dont link to the item/document.

My transformation is:

Hi,

can you see link on the current page for all search results? The transformation seems to be correct, so is not it possible that search found the page itself?

Could you please also share you web part configuration?

managed to work it out, had to change occurances of <% SearchResultUrl... to 
<%# EcommerceFunctions.GetProductUrl(GetSearchValue("SKUID")) %>


also changed the product image links (its a smartsearch with image results webpart) from:

<img src="<%# GetSearchImageUrl("~/App_Themes/Default/Images/CMSModules/CMS_SmartSearch/no_image.gif",90) %>" alt="" />


to

<img src="<%# GetSearchImageUrl(Convert.ToString(GetSearchValue("SKUImagePath")),90)%>" alt=""/>


Now my search results display correct thumbnails and link correctly to a product.
Top
