Query filter issues version 5.5R2

I'm trying to use a repeater and a filter. When I use a query data source, basic repeater and a filter, the list is filtered correctly but the no record found text is not displayed when there are no records. When I use a repeater with custom query and a filter, the no record found text is displayed correctly when there are no records but the list is not filtered.

Actually, the hotfix didn't fix everything. When I use a query data source, basic repeater and a filter, everything works as expected. However, when I use a repeater with custom query and a filter, the list is not filtered. So, I can get it working with three webparts but am wondering why the filter does not work when only using two webparts including the repeater with custom query?

Hi,

there were also some bugs fixed in version 6.0 which were related to filters. So upgrade to 6.0 version should help in case you cannot use combination of 3 web parts. What kind of filter are you using? The filter web part is used to register a custom filter. Could you please specify which web part are you using so I could try to check in 6.0 version if the filtering issue was really fixed?

Hi,

I'm using the filter webpart for a custom filter. I'm going to continue using version 5.5R2 and 3 web parts for my current project but, yes, please confirm that the filter webpart for a custom filter will work in combination with the repeater with custom query webpart in version 6 so that I may use the 2 webpart approach in future projects.

If it works with 2 web parts, that would be great but, even if I still need to use 3 web parts, that is only a minor inconvenience.

The basic repeater and the document repeater work as they should with the custom filter web part. Do you have any other suggestions other than upgrading to version 6?
