Upgrading from 3.1a to 5.0
Hi everybody,
I would like to know if is it possible to export a site from KCMS 3.1a and import the package directly into a 5.0 installation (using site export/site import utilities).

Hi,

Yes, it is possible but definitely not recommended because when you will import the package from older version, you will overwrite the web parts, page template, documents, etc. back to the old version state, which will cause errors. So, you need to be very careful when importing.

Hi Juraj,
thank you very much for your answer.

At this point, I will upgrade the 3.1a installation applying all SPs ... I think it's a better solution.
