Staging and Production Servers
We are in the process of building the staging server with
Server 2008 and IIS 7. The server on the outside public domain
already has Server 2003 and IIS 6. Will this cause any conflicts for our hosted website? Will sycnronization work properly? Are there issues we should be aware of? Thanks ahead of time.

Hello,

the content staging module synchronizes only the content which does not depend on servers. So, it should not cause any problems.

Is there a good guide on setting up a staging server with synchronization? The docs in the developer guide are pretty sparse.

Hello.

I believe the documentation in Developer´s guide related to this topic covers all settings requested to get content staging run between source and target server. What particular information are you missing, please? If you could describe what exactly you want to know, we can provide you with appropriate solution. Anyway, I don´t know about some other Kentico documentation where this functionality could be described.
