Configuration Error
After uploading files and database to hosting server I can not see my page on CMS Desk , because it shows this error:
Server Error in '/' Application.

Configuration Error

Description: An error occurred during the processing of a configuration file required to service this request. Please review the specific error details below and modify your configuration file appropriately.

Parser Error Message: It is an error to use a section registered as allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application level. This error can be caused by a virtual directory not being configured as an application in IIS.

Hi,

Is your IIS configured correctly? As you can see in the error message:

It is an error to use a section registered as allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application level. This error can be caused by a virtual directory not being configured as an application in IIS.

It seems that the IIS is not configured right.

Hi,

I didn't Save All Virtual Objects to Disk. I did it and is ok but, I have the following error now when I want to open CMS Desk:
Server Error in '/' Application.

Runtime Error

Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

Hi,

Why would you have to save the virtual objects to disk? Are you running medium trust environment? Moreover, the issue is not in the virtual objects but in the IIS configuration. HAve you tried to look on the Internet for these errors?
Is the folder set as an application in the IIS?
What are the application pool settings?
What are the Authentication methods allowed?
