Barcode Reader and Ecommerce Module
We are looking for a barcode reader that we can integrate with our ecommerce system. The reader will help in pulling orders, recieving shipments and other aspects of inventory mangement.
If anyone has experience with this or knows of a barcode reader that is suitable for something like this please let me know.

Hi, We don't have any documented case of barcode reader system integration into Ecommerce processes, but maybe someone has one... You will most probably need to build a standalone application, that would use our API and database ( http://devnet.kentico.com/docs/5_5r2/devguide/using_api_and_cms_controls_outside_cms_project.htm) The application will control the barcode reader and use the reader to identify which order to pull out, change it's state and make other required actions. Inspiration for usage of E-commerce module manipulation API can be found in ~/CMSModules/Ecommerce/Tools in particular folders. Regards, Zdenek C.

here is barcode reader sdk. But it can not be used directly into your ecommerce system. because it did not have a fixed output ways.

Well, I think this barcode reading dll are not suitable for him. There is no specific instruction on how to use it to handle orders.

Here is a good barcode reader I have used last month. I think it would be a good recommendation for you. It can read various barcode types quickly and get the info correctly. Here you may read this barcode reading guide first before using it.

Hmmm, how about a barcode reader add-on which can be used in document image system, with this one, you are supposed to integrate the barcode reader within Windows imaging application. In addtion, here is the compilant barcode creator in Winforms.
